Woods’ son, Charlie, reduced the burden of flying distance… Like last year, we played at the red tee

Charlie Woods (13), who competes in the PNC Championship, a ‘family golf tournament’, paired with his father, Tiger Woods (USA), has somewhat relieved the burden of distance that he was concerned about.

The PNC Championship Match Committee announced on the 16th (Korean time) two days before the opening of the tournament that Charlie will use the red tee like last year.

Red Tea is a tee box used by male pros aged 65 to 72, female pros aged 50 and older, and juniors aged 12 to 13.

Originally, the match committee planned to have Charlie play on the white tees further away from the red tees, but eventually decided to use the red tees like his last year.

The white tee is for PGA Tour pros aged 55 to 64, LPGA Tour pros, and juniors aged 14 and older.

If Charlie plays from the white tees, he will have to compete on the same battlefield course as John Daly (USA), the king of long drives of old, and Nellie Corda (USA), world No. 2 in women’s golf.

The white tee is 6,754 yards long, but the red tee is 6,452 yards, 302 yards shorter.

There are four tee boxes used in the PNC Championship: yellow, white, and red tees for PGA Tour pros under the age of 54, and blue tees for those over the age of 73.

However, because the red tee is placed farther back than last year, Charlie has to play on a longer course than last year. 안전놀이터

The length of the course at Red Tee, where Charlie played last year, was 6,036 yards. This year it is 416 yards longer.

The white tee was also longer than last year, but only increased by 178 yards, making it more difficult to play on the red tee.

The number of yellow tees played by active PGA Tour players such as Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, and Jordan Spieth (above USA) has decreased from 7,126 yards last year to 7,094 yards.
