Lim earned 142.57 points with a technical score (TES) of 70.40 and an artistic score (PCS) of 72.17 in the men’s single free skate at the fourth ISU Figure Junior Grand Prix of the 2023/24 season (Sept. 13-16) in Osaka, Japan, on Friday (Sept. 15), combining his 75.38 points from the previous day’s short program for a final total of 217.95 points, good for second place out of 25 competitors.
Lim, who was selected as a delegate to the 2023 ISU Junior Grand Prix (Taereung Indoor Ice Arena, July 22-23, 2023) with a third-place finish, earned a silver medal in his first Junior Grand Prix appearance.
His teammate in the Men’s Singles, Lee Jae-geun (Surigyo), scored 65.76 points in the short program and 127.67 points in the free skate to finish the competition in sixth place with a final total of 193.43 points.
Hwang Jung-yul (Sangmyung Middle School) and Han Hee-soo (Sunil Girls’ Middle School), who finished fifth (61.09 points) in the short program, will compete in the women’s singles free skate on Saturday. In the ice dance free dance, Kim Ji-nee and In-moo (Gyeonggi Ice Sports Federation) will compete.
