Yasmin showed up at the tryout.
The 2023 Korean Volleyball Federation메이저사이트 (KOVO) women’s tryout held its first schedule in Istanbul, Turkey on the 11th (local time). Out of a total of 40 invited players, 31 participated on the first day.
I also saw familiar faces. Among them, there was Yasmin Bedart, who played an active role until last season. Yasmin appeared in the V-League through Hyundai E&C in the 2021-2022 season and achieved the Triple Crown from his first game.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction showed a good performance by making a big contribution to recording 12 consecutive wins in the opening season for two consecutive seasons. In the 2021-2022 season, he participated in 30 matches and 113 sets, scoring 664 points, 42.81% attack success rate, and 0.442 per sub set. He played in 13 matches and 47 sets, scoring 359 points, with a 46.86% offensive success rate and 0.447 per serve.
While in Korea, I couldn’t digest a season perfectly due to Corona 19 and injuries. With regret, Yasmin challenged the Korean league again. Since he was unable to join the season, he came out as an invited player rather than a foreign player in the 2022-2023 season.
Unfortunately, his physical condition did not look perfect. He did only basic stretching in the gym, and did not participate in warm-up and training with the ball. Sitting on the bench and around the court and watching the training scene, Yasmin digested the morning schedule of the first day.
Nevertheless, several clubs were watching. At the time of the preliminary club preference survey, he was listed in the TOP10. An official from the club said, “The players’ skills are a little disappointing. The skills Yasmin showed during her time in the V-League cannot be ignored. He has been around for two seasons and has definitely been verified, so we have no choice but to keep an eye on him.”
Even after the practice game on the first day, he hinted, “Even if you look at the skills of the players based on Yasmin, Yasmin shows much better skills.”
Yasmin, who is still receiving a lot of attention from the club, is currently undergoing rehabilitation after herniated disc surgery. His ball movement seems to be possible by July.
Among the V-League experience players, including Yasmin, Katarina Jovic, Catherine Bell, Yelena Mrazenovic, Moma Basoko Letizia, and Dali Santana, six career positions submitted applications for the V-League tryout. After three practice games, a medical test, and a meeting with each club for three days, the draft will be held on the 14th local time.
