Tokai University Kyushu women’s basketball team Korea field training start

The Tokai University Kyushu women’s basketball team visited Korea for field training.

The Tokai University Kyushu women’s basketball team, led by coach Won Byeong-seon, has been conducting field training in Korea since the 12th. Tokai University Kyushu means Tokai University Kumamoto Campus, with its main school located in Tokyo. Kumamoto belongs to the Kyushu region, so it is called Tokai Great Kyushu.

There are men’s and women’s basketball teams, and Korean coach Won Byung-seon serves as the head coach and basketball team leader for both teams. This trip to Korea was made possible thanks to director Won Byeong-seon’s personal connections and ability. In fact, the same is true in Korea, but in Japan, it is not easy for local university teams to train both men and women overseas.

The men’s basketball team set up a base camp at Chung-Ang University’s Anseong campus in Gyeonggi-do on the 7th and started training. I had a practice game with Chung-Ang University, Myongji University, and Sangmyung University.

Following the men’s basketball team, the women’s basketball team will enter Korea on the 12th and stay at Shinhan Bank’s Blue Campus in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do for training. Accordingly, coach Won Byung-seon also joined the women’s team on the 12th.

Tokai University Kyushu, which had adaptation training on the 12th, had its own training in the morning of the 13th, and had its first practice game against Shinhan Bank in the afternoon of the same day. The result was a 75-92 defeat.

Coach Won Byung-seon, whom we met after the game, said, “I was able to come here because coach Lee Si-joon consulted with me, and coach Guna Dan readily gave permission. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to coach Guna Dan and Shinhan Bank for providing me with this opportunity.”

He continued, “I have to be a good practice partner, but I’m worried that our players are lacking. (Laughs) That’s why I told them to run to the point of death even before the game, and I encouraged the players in between matches. That way, Shinhan Bank players can also practice, and we too. It’s because it’s practice,” he added.

The ace of Tokai Daikyushu is single guard Akane Moriguchi. He is the younger brother of Hisashi Moriguchi, who played for Day One last season. Although he is short in stature, he has the shooting ability to hit every corner of the court at high speed and shoot from any position.스포츠토토

In Japan’s W-League, around four teams, including Aisin, want to join him, so scouting competition is fierce, Won explained.

He also said, “It’s a different country, but just training in the same place as professional players is a great study for our players and a good experience. From my point of view, it is also an opportunity to motivate the players. As I have been on an overseas expedition for the first time in a while, I will do my best to make it a good time and experience for both players and me.”

Tokai University Kyushu will have practice matches against Shinhan Bank on the 14th and Samsung Life Insurance on the 15th. After taking a break in the afternoon of the 16th, he plans to return to Japan after a practice match against Shinhan Bank on the morning of the 17th.
