The car that made a splash with Lee Hyo-ri on its back…a spectacular comeback after 8 years

KG Mobility announced today that it has launched The New Tivoli, a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) with enhanced character. The Tivoli안전놀이터, which was launched in 2015 under the SsangYong Motor brand and was popularized by Lee Hyori, has returned as a new model after changing the company’s signboard to KG Mobility.

KG Mobility said it designed The New Tivoli to showcase its strength in simplicity. The company added that based on the bumper design, the sporty shape of the intake grille expresses a strong image, and the asymmetrical snorkel (intake hole) creates a unique functional element.

For the interior design, a floating type AVN and a touch-type air conditioning controller were newly applied. The natural leather seat interior is available in three new colors: orange interior package, gray two-tone, and black interior.

Wheels are available in 18-inch diamond-cut and 18-inch black diamond-cut, with 16-inch alloy wheels and 17-inch diamond-cut wheels as standard depending on the trim. A total of 10 body colors are available, including the Iron Metal color, five one-toned colors and five two-toned colors that were also available on the Torres.

The New Tivoli is available in two powertrain variants: a 1.5-liter turbocharged model and a 1.6-liter turbocharged model. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces a peak power output of 163 ps/5000-5500 rpm and a peak torque of 26.5 kg-m/1500-4000 rpm. The 1.6 gasoline engine delivers 126 hp at 6000 rpm and 15.8 lb-ft of torque at 4600 rpm. Combined fuel economy is 12.0 mpg and 11.6 mpg, respectively. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission from AISIN AW.

With the second row folded down, the cargo space is 1440 liters and the length is up to 1879 mm, making it spacious for a compact SUV.

The New Tivoli (with Air) is equipped with Deep Control, an active safety technology that helps ensure safe driving. In addition, 14 ADAS systems are available, including Emergency Brake Assist (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Distracted Driving Warning (DAW), Safe Distance Warning (SDW), Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVSW), and Center Lane Keeping Assist (CLKA).

The new The New Tivoli and The New Tivoli Air are priced from 18.83 million won for the V1 (A/T) and 22.44 million won for the V3, depending on engine and trim. The 1.5 gasoline turbo is priced at KRW 22.9 million for the V5 and KRW 25.98 million for the V6. The New Tivoli Air is priced at 22.94 million won for the A5 and 26.98 million won for the A7.

“Tivoli was launched in 2015 and has accumulated sales of nearly 290,000 units by May 2023,” said an official from KG Mobility. “The new Tivoli is expected to revitalize the stagnant small SUV market by meeting customer needs and adding ‘God’s sex ratio.”
