South Korea ranked 27th in FIFA rankings in March… down two places from 25th in December last year

The FIFA rankings for Korean men’s soccer fell two places from 25th to 27th.

In the men’s soccer world rankings announced by FIFA on the 6th, Korea ranked 27th with 1536.01 points. It fell two notches from 25th place (메이저사이트1539.49 points) in December last year, when it advanced to the round of 16 at the Qatar World Cup.

Korea ranked third among Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member countries, following Japan (1588.59 points) in 20th place and Iran (1553.23 points) in 24th place.

Qatar World Cup winner Argentina (1840.93 points) occupied the first place in the world rankings. Argentina, which ranked second after Brazil (1838.38 points) in the rankings in December last year, jumped to first place last month by winning two consecutive victories against Panama (2-0) and Curacao (7-0) in friendly matches. It is the first time in six years since March 2017 that Argentina ranked first.

France, which was narrowly defeated by Argentina in a penalty shoot-out in the Qatar World Cup final and finished runner-up, moved up one notch from third to second place (1838.45 points). On the other hand, Brazil, which ranked first in the rankings last December but suffered the bitter taste of being eliminated in the quarterfinals at the Qatar World Cup, fell two places to third place (1834.21 points).

Belgium (1792.53 points), England (1792.43 points), the Netherlands (1731.23 points), Croatia (1730.02 points), Italy (1713.66 points), Portugal (1707.22 points) and Spain (1682.85 points) were named in the top 10.
