Kim Hyo-joo and Yang Hee-young tied for second place at the LPGA Tour Mayer Classic 2R 1 stroke

 Hyo-joo Kim and Hee-young Yang tied for second place in the second round of the LPGA Tour Myer Classic (total prize money of $2.5 million).

On the 17th (Korean time) in the second round of the tournament held at Bliderfields Country Club (par 72, 6,638 yards) in Belmont, Michigan, USA, Kim Hyo-joo tied 8메이저사이트 birdies and 1 bogey and hit 7 under par 65.

Hyo-Joo Kim, who recorded an interim total of 10 under par 134, raised her ranking from the top 20 the previous day to a tie for second place.

The sole leader was Furue Ayaka (Japan) with 11 under par and 133 strokes, only one stroke away from Kim Hyo-joo and Yang Hee-young.

Kim Hyo-joo, who finished runner-up at the Shoprite Classic last week, is poised to compete for the title for the second week in a row. Kim Hyo-joo’s latest LPGA Tour victory was the Lotte Championship in April last year.

Yang Hee-young will challenge for the first championship in 4 years and 4 months since Honda Thailand in February 2019.

Kim Hyo-joo has 5 wins on the tour, and Yang Hee-young has 4 wins.

Riona Maguire (Ireland) and Carlota Ziganda (Spain) also tied for second place with 10 under par 134 strokes.

Choi Hye-jin, Yoo Hae-ran, Lee Mi-hyang, and Choi Woon-jeong finished the tournament with a score of 7 under par and 137 strokes, tied for 16th place. With a difference of 4 strokes from the leader, it is a gap that can be pursued in the remaining 3rd and 4th rounds.

Jeon In-ji, who is about to defend her title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, a major tournament next week, missed the cut after finishing in the top 90 with a 1-over par of 145.
