On KBS’s “1 Night 2 Days,” which aired on April 4, the cast visited a traditional market in Antelope, North Gyeongsang Province.
After receiving 300,000 won from the crew, they went grocery shopping, first finding a shop that sold old-fashioned sweets, tasting them, and then filling them up.
Contrary to the vendor’s claim that they were cheap, they ended up paying 70,000 won for a 1.5 kilogram bag at a unit price of about 4,500 won per 100 grams.
After the broadcast, there was a lot of controversy about the price of the snacks on various communities and viewer boards, with some saying that the snacks were more expensive than beef.
