‘Goodbye Korea’ director Bento leaves with tears in his eyes

Coach Paulo Bento, who led the Korean national team, left Korea with tears in his eyes.

Director Bento visited Incheon International Airport to depart on the afternoon of the 13th. Even though it was late, many fans gathered to say goodbye to Bento.

As soon as Bento arrived, he went through the baggage check-in, and while the check-in was in progress, he signed autographs for fans and took pictures, showing great fan service until the end.

After completing the check-in, Director Bento went straight to the entry gate without any interview.

In front of the gate entrance, Bento said his final goodbyes while exchanging warm hugs with the national team officials.

Coach Bento, who polished the national team for four years, faced difficulties in the middle, but overcame it well and succeeded in advancing to the round of 16 at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

In the round of 16, he met Brazil, the world’s best football team, and lost 1-4, but many football fans were enthusiastic about coach Bento, who succeeded in advancing to the round of 16 for the first time in 12 years since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

However, contrary to the fans’ wishes, Bento decided to leave the national team after failing to narrow the disagreement with the Football Association during the process of renewing his contract.

It is known that Bento, who is leaving Korea, plans to take a break for the time being while looking for his next destination.
