Men’s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), 20, has advanced to the semifinals of the Western & Southern Open (Cincinnati Masters).
Alcaraz came from behind to defeat Max Purcell (25, AUS) 2-1 (4-6 6-3 6-2) in the singles quarterfinals of the ATP Tour Masters 1000 Series Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, today (Sept. 19).
Alcaraz, who won Wimbledon this year, reached the semifinals of the tournament, which is a precursor to the US Open. He won his first three matches of the tournament, from the second round to the quarterfinals, all 2-1.
Most notably, in the round of 16 the previous day, he defeated Tommy Paul (26, USA, World No. 13) in a grueling three-hour, nine-minute match.먹튀검증
