Among the supporters of the Democratic Party스포츠토토, 25 percent of the supporters are in their 30s. This is nearly half of what it was before Rep. Kim Nam-kook’s “coin investment” scandal.
On May 19, pollster Korea Gallup surveyed 1,000 people aged 18 and over nationwide for party support in the third week of May (16-18), and found that the Democratic Party’s support was 33%. This is up 1 percentage point from the previous week.
The problem is with those in their 30s. Among them, Democratic support is at 25%. It’s been a year and four months since the third week of January last year. During that time, support among 30-somethings has hovered in the 30-40% range.
The plunge in support among 30-somethings is largely attributed to Rep. Kim Nam-kook’s coin investment scandal. This is a 17 percentage point drop compared to the 42% approval rating in the survey conducted on May 2-4 (the first week of May) before Kim’s coin scandal. In the second week of May, on May 9-11, he was at 33%.
Kim’s approval rating has continued to decline since the coin scandal.
